Anyways after my KK trip, I rest at home for a couple of days then went over to singapore with my family for just 4 days and 3 nights. It was nice, tiring, fun !
I'm still freaking pissed coz internet here is SHITTY, freaking slow.
Day 4 of Singapore Trip, 07/01/09, Thursday
This is the last day of our trip.
Buffet complimentary breakfast in Marina Mandarin Hotel.
The food's alright. All I love is the sunny side up eggs and egg omelettes.
Dude packing our huge luggages into the tiny taxi's boot.
Goodbye Singapore.
Today I had fever + sore throat. Obviously due to the non-stop eating and lack of sleep for the past couple of weeks. Pro !
Day 3 of Singapore Trip, 06/01/09, Wednesday
Just a casual walk around singapore.
My friend calls it the "durian" hall (the shiny building at the back).
This is the city view outside the window of my hotel.
We had lunch here today. Food is really good.
We had a herbal duck (half portion).
Some meat dish...can't remember what it's called but it's SUPER GOOD !
Sambal Kangkong. OWNAGE !
When at restaurants and someone asks you to order veges but you have no idea what to order...SAMBAL KANGKONG is the obvious answer.
Spare ribs. It was alright only. I find the meat quite tough and dry.
We had tea-break at toast box.
3 coffee and 1 tea. We ordered sandwiches too, but we were too hungry and gobbled it up before we realised it's too late to take a picture of it. FAIL ! lols
At night we went to the safari zoo.
It's great ! They brought us in the tram to tour around the park and see wildlife animals. And the night show, sort of like a mini-circus with all the cute animals doing little tricks here and there.
Day 2 of Singapore Trip, 05/01/09, Tuesday
Today I planned to meet up my perth buddies : dave, christy, bev, kwok leong,
and also my old time buddy back during high school, the great, the genius : adrian.
Had like tons of food today, till my tummy felt super upset the next day and I had fever + sore throat on the last day.
Walked around A LOT too till I couldn't feel my legs the next day and I even had blister on my toes !
Let's head off to an unforgettable walking + eating journey...
Woke up 8am then by 9am I used the MRT getting off at Dhoby Ghaut and walked all the way to Orchard. lols. The MRT station at chinatown which is just near the hotel I'm staying doesn't stop at Orchard MRT. Above is a picture of starbucks where I bought a strong latte to wake me up. Something interesting happened here. As I was look around and wasn't too confident which direction it is to Orchard, I asked a guy who's just standing there and talking to a girl.
Conversation went something like this :
Me : Hey hello. You have any idea how do I get to Orchard from here ?
Dude : Oh Yeah. Just go straight all the way from there (points finger). You're from Brunei right?
Me : Yeah..........
Dude : St. Andrew's School right ?
Me : Yeah...............
Dude : You're Geoffrey Right...?
Me : Yeah......how'd you know ?
Dude : Oh I was in St. Andrew's too. I'm your junior 1 year.
Me : Oh yeah...you're johns......
Dude : Johnson, right.
Me : Hey nice to meet you ! So you're holidaying here too ?
Dude : nah Just taking a transit to melbourne.
Me : Oh nice. Yeah thanks a lot, and happy new year to you. Nice to meet ya ! See ya !
Dude : Yeah ! see ya !

Went to Orchard plaza 10am. Most of the shops are still closed or just about to open.
Walked further till I passed Takashimaya.
Paragon. Looks cool.
Ngee Ann City. I stopped here afterwards with the perthie gang to eat my Tori Q.
The very famous, talked-about, ion. See all the high end designer brands that would pack a hole in your wallets.

Looks so cool. The blue lighting effect and the roof has the digital aquarium which is very pleasing to the eyes. Even more pleasing are.....upskirts (if found any).

Went to crystal jade xiao long bao la mian, obviously to try their xiao long bao and la mian.
First time hearing bev speaking mandarin. As in constructing a proper sentence and not those vulgar ones. lols
I had the La Mian in spicy and sour soup, and the la mian is "dragon's beard" which is the fine and thin texture of the noodles. IT'S GOOD ! REALLY !

We ate this noodle (cheese with egg) from modanyaki, recommended by kwok leong and bev. Good stuff !
I could be walking in the middle of the road in heavy traffic and eating like so and couldn't care less.
We went to this store where dave said it's quite cool or sth. It's boring diaries, not my stuff. Bev somehow likes these kinda diaries/journals. Makes me think that she write diaries. lols.

And finally Christy turned up !

I thought we got attacked by planet of the apes.

Christy haven't had lunch so she was eating here. So many cute china girls she said. I had like coffee from toastbox and 2 soya bean drinks. lols.
We went here, to walk around and enjoy the scenery.
Went to the cybercafe somemore ! The mouse, mousepad, keyboard all razer brand eh. cool. 1hr cost $4.20, not cool. In Brunei it's just $1 per hour. lols.
Brings back old memories. Counter-Strike....ahh....

Christy had to go to work, it's around 5pm. We did some wierd pose. lols.
Then 30mins after I had to leave coz I'm meeting my other buddy, Adrian. Thanks for the memorable time guys !

Went to eat chicken rice for dinner at this place in Orchard.
Half a steamed chicken. MOUTH-WATERING !
Went straightaway to this famous coffeeshop after our dinner.
We had roti kahwin and iced coffee. Good stuff.
Whatever Adrian recommends, is usually good.
We went to city hall coz Adrian said around 8pm they have free performances.
Looks like that's it. Not bad they are youths-in-training, at least they make use of their time and skill to entertain tourists.

We used the MRT to clarke quay then walked all over that area. VERY VERY TIRING man.
Shit.
90 didn't seem that much at first. I was wrong.
We went to St. James power station, which is a building having like 7 or 8 clubs/pubs/bars.
The chinese club, dragonfly, is good. And the Salsa club too (can't remember the name).

When it's near midnight we ran all the way to the MRT station to catch the very last train and head off to Kallang. Geylang is just a few steps away and that's where we went....
Durians, fruits are all sold here.

My legs were already burning at this point but the food fest must go on. We went to this beancurd place, still at geylang.
24 hours, 24hours. I get it !
I had Yu Tiao, Tau Fu Fah and Tau Ni.
We went back using taxi. We went back around 2am. Imagine from early morning 9am till 2am. Madness. You guys can count how many times I ate today. There are a couple of other stuff I ate but I didn't take any pics of it. My tummy was aching and about to burst. Thanks a lot Adrian for showing me a good time ! Now that you're going pro in the music industry, all the best man ! Don't forget me when you become a big shot soon okay !!! See you soon during Chinese New Year ! =))
Day 1 of Singapore Trip, 04/01/09, Monday
First day in Singapore. Checked in 12pm. Went to Vivo city, harbour front.
Had one of these korean sausages. Not bad.
From harbour front we went to Sentosa.
The Giant Merlion.
We went to few tours in Sentosa. One of the main and prolly the best one this tour is Images of Singapore.
In the Images of Singapore Cinema showing a short film on how singapore had different people having different origins but having the same dream and vision for singapore.
It was drizzling a bit today.
It drizzled more here.
Using the tram to go to Fort Siliso. My legs were already aching badly here. Yeah yeah I know, I don't walk much =p
We had dinner at Soup restaurant, Vivo city, recommended by Adrian.
Famous for their Samsui Ginger chicken.
There we go !!!! Samsui Chicken ! The ginger sauce is really good too ! I could drink it straight off. lols
Had some fish too.
And minced meat.
Sambal sweet potato leaves.
There are tons more of pictures but these are the main ones. Had a great time at sg. Fell sick after the crazy food-fest on the 2nd day. Had fever and sore throat on the 4th day. If I stayed any longer at singapore, I'd prolly be admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
