Homestay farewell + Karen's belated bday celebration

Date and Day : 19/11/09, Thursday
People : Serene, Beverly, Keanu, Karen, Karen's parents, me

So I never actually blogged about where I live in Perth. I live in Winthrop (Yeah, Asian Suburb as some of you might say).

Last year when I moved out of my old homestay just before I went back to my country for the summer holidays, I was homeless. I didn't have a place to stay when I got back.

Then just before the summer holidays ended, my buddy Yun called me up and asked if I had a place to stay. Unfortunately, no. Fortunately, his landlady had a vacant room. So he asked if I would like to stay with them. Yes.

Then just before I left the airport, he called and told me that the landlady had some urgent matters to handle. In short, that means I could stay in their place for one semester maximum. But staying for one semester is too troublesome, all the moving and all. It's a good thing I came back to perth just one week before the start of my semester. So during that one week Yun's homestay lady looked for a place for me. And she found me this place. It was a blessing that I lived in this wonderful home for 2 semesters where this landlady treats me and my housemates very very well. So well. Too well.

So the landlady hosted a small farewell party for me and keanu as we are going to leave perth for good and back to our hometown PLUS karen's belated birthday because she just finished her final exam paper today !
