To my uni-gang, goodbye...

First and foremost, today is the day Tiong left for the airport back to his hometown, Brunei.

Hope you had a safe flight buddy and enjoy the quiet but very humid lifestyle. lols.

I love that weather.....won't be long for now...

Went lunch with my uni-gang today. We supposed to go D'malaysia restaurant.

Why D'malaysia restaurant? No idea.

Just randomly thought of a restaurant, and *thump* there it is !

Didn't really blog about my uni-mates / gang before... sorry about that !

Initially when I started my first semester in UWA early last year, I was very lost and confused. Studying in uni is not as fun as studying during my diploma and higher diploma days.

It depends on the people you meet and the people you know.

People at my uni generally are friendly...but I didn't have a gang so it feels pretty much alone and pretty boring too.

There are nice people I've met during the first semester...quite a number to be named but you know who you are =))

Then second semester, I knew two new people namely kazim and siu2...

I knew Kazim because he approached me to ask about one of the unit (ELEC2306). It was a blessing to know him. He's a very friendly and too good guy also who shares his knowledge and we have our little study and casual discussions here and there...

Kazim has a lot of resources and good understanding on things too...anything you don't know, Kazim knows. lols

Siu2...well I didn't know her initially until early this year when we did one unit together (ELEC8342). It was funny coz during 2nd semester last year when she just came in with Kazim, we were doing THREE units together...but we never talked ! AHHAHAAH. It's maybe because I'm not used to approaching people and mingling with them first unless they initiate it =/

I'm NOT cocky okay !

Siu2 is smart, quick-witted, hardworking and has lots of good stories to share too !

And then there's dear Raymond. The So good....too good guy. I knew him early last year coz he did MATH2040 with me. He's the mathematician raymond. He's everything all in one.

The most hardworking guy I've ever known (at our generation). He's supposed to do ALL units the same as me...but he's too good...he enrolled units which I did in my final year. lols

That's a real PRO !

Raymond is Just so-good, too-good...EXTREMELY HARDWORKING ! And super helpful to anyone !

Ever heard the saying "Hard work pays off" ? Raymond is that saying !

So we all did this one unit called GENG4401 (MEMS) together this semester. MEMS = Micro Electro Mechanical Systems. That's a mouthful to speak. We discussed that subject together, so it was doable and it made sense. Without them, studying at uni would be boring too.

Studying back at ITB (Institut Teknologi Brunei) where I did my HND in Communications and Computer systems engineering, was fun. The lecturers there are very nice and very friendly, sporting and all ! My gang over there...are the best ! We could do assignments the day before submission and still scored well...because we all cooperated well and we don't give pressure to one another but instead we give comfort, support and love ! lols ! And lots of jokes...lols !

And this gang I have at UWA is the best too! It's a blessing I knew these people here !

So yada yada yada, blah blah blah, picture time !

Kazim and I ordered lamb briyani. Raymond ordered chicken briyani.

Siu2 and Vanessa ordered sambal kangkong and chicken briyani.

We went to mill point after lunch to have coffee at gelare.

Then we took some pics there. Late morning till early afternoon it was raining...

All other days...it's freaking hot...hot and sunny weather. Just today it's raining.

I told kazim "Very bad day today. All other days we have good, sunny weather. Today, unfortunately it's raining. I bring bad luck."

Then kazim said "You are leaving, so the sky is sad"

Awwww :')

And also...COINCIDENTALLY...the restaurant TODAY..for THIS MONTH ONLY...it's half priced on all food items !

So we paid HALF of the usual amount !

And after coffee, the rain stopped. It was a cool, gentle breeze. Very cooling and relaxing.

See how something would turn out for the better =))
