The perth royal show. A delight.

It lasts for only a week from 26/09/09 to 03/09/09.

It's here once a year.

It's here now.

I didn't bother to go to the royal show last year (my first year in perth), pretty much coz it's not really something I look forward to. Just like I didn't look forward and never attended any concerts here. And I didn't look forward and didn't attend when WWE came to perth too...

But I'll tell you this. I'm glad I went to the royal show this time, it may be the one and last time I'll ever be here in perth =))

Anyhoo...back to the camwhoring time beeches !

Yeah as usual, I have my sunday service till 1pm. Then I told the gang to meet up at murdoch station 2:30pm. We used the public transport coz it would be really difficult to get parking over there unless you're really lucky...but why bet on it?

The first thing I saw upon entering the funfair. GAG MAGIC.

Now let's put the rides aside and look at what stuffed toys are available...

One word : WOOOOOooOOooOooOOooOOooOO

We were playing darts where we popped balloons and each balloon popped there's a certain point. Collect enough points to get a better prize obviously. Look at Serene ! Getting the leftovers. It's like a graveyard of leftover dolls from last year. But she's happy nonetheless. Don't question what's her score. lols

This is another fun game. They give u 3 baseballs and you would have to roll the ball and try to hit the bottles with one hit. Hit 2 out of 3 bottles and you win a prize. Hit 3 out of 3 bottles and you win some cash.

A very packed day.

Tiong kept telling me "you must try the ribs. It's the best thing there. The ribs are good. The ribs are *sucks finger*. The ribs are *unzip pants*". Okay I was exaggerating that last sentence.

*drools*

RIBS + SAUSAGES = OWNAGE !

Guess what did I have? NOT ONE ladies and gentlemen, BUT TWO !

TWO what? TWO RIBS, and TWO SAUSAGES ! Good. So Good. Too Good.

Near sunset but the crowd goes on and on and on...

WAH THIS GAME ! DAMN !

Have to write my own little sub-story here. THIS GAME IS DAMN SNEAKY ! See those buckets there? See those orange balls in mid-air? The idea of the game is simple...just throw the BOUNCY orange ball into the bucket (we're not allowed to lean forward or do rim-shots), and if the ball is in the bucket we win a prize. A huge stuffed doll. Little did we know, we're the ones to get stuffed. DAMN

So see that dude with that curly hair? He's very convincing. That, or I'm gullible (but I won't admit it). So anyways, he's convincing. And he says $5 for 2 balls. $10 for 5 balls. So obviously, I chose $10 for 5 balls. I got ZERO in.

Then he makes me another deal, he says $20 for 6 balls and he already put in ONE ball in for me. So that means if I get 1 ball out of 6 balls in, I'll win the big prize. Tempting. So I said DEAL !

Then at the end...EPIC FAIL...man...

Then this guy says "I give u another deal, you and all your friends pay $15 each and each get 4 balls, so that's 28 balls in total. As long as 4 balls out of 28 goes in...EACH OF US WILL GET A HUGE DOLL...THAT's 7 huge dolls...

But of course, a deal that's too good to be true is dangerous...so we didn't take that deal...

I lost like $50 or $60 to this damn game alone...lols...

A little sub-story again...

And we ACTUALLY found bev's skill. She's good at fishing. Or rather putting objects into holes.

You see...the rod she's carrying and the fish on the table. If the metal hook touch any part of the fish hook, the fish would jump like mad. The hook and the fish acts as very very strong like-poles of a magnet.

Catch one fish, you get a small prize. Catch two fishes, you get a bigger prize. Catch three fishes, you get an even bigger prize. This beverly actually caught 3/3 fishes..not once but TWICE...she actually won 2 huge dolls. WTF right?

Hey guess how many fishes I caught out of 2 tries? That's out of 6 fishes in total, I catch NONE. ZERO, NADA, ZILTCH !

Maybe that's why beverly can take picture at night without the flash and still get a clear picture. Where as I have sort of a parkinson's like that =/

Let's just say my hand and fingers vibrate...

Happy for you really ! You could be a potentially good fisherwoman !

One of the huge toys bev won. It's the dog that shed its fur. REALLY SHEDDING.

Glory glory ! Kwok actually has another huge tazmanian devil which he's hiding.

I hope that's not a sign from all the caffeine esp. redbull I am drinking...how ironic =/

At the very end near the exit, we saw this. I'm too full to even try this twisted chips...but it looked good. Lots of people queued up for it !

At the train station, we just chucked all our toys on the floor. Our prize winnings...

The panda and serene's cow are really cute. And tiong's pony =))

In conclusion, I can say that the money spent on the prize are obviously not worth it...HAHA...

But I can tell you this. The money spent on the time and fun and joy with friends was very well worth it...

And yeah see how this post, I let serene have a rest on not being made fun off (yeah you can thank me later by buying me 4 cups of coffee)...but it's more on bev =p

The main thing I observed today :

There might be food you're craving for..but you're too full to even try one bite...but you can't help to wonder...what a cute mascot/cartoon they have for the twisted chips...

But guess what? After reading my post, only the wise and observant could tell....and can't help but wonder...this cartoon...could it be real? Like sometimes, you see something and wonder "Hey I think I've seen that somewhere before...but I can't remember where..."

That's why I bring my camera everywhere I go....
